Dutch Design Week, 2019

On the occasion of the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven, Isola Design District, one of the coolest districts of the Milanese Design Week, joined with an installation at the Penning's Foundation.

To enhance visibility to this first participation, some interesting solutions have been chosen to decorate the large shop window.

"Unlimited design" (the title of the exhibition) was carved into a dichroic film and applied to the window, creating a real "wow effect". Many visitors were attracted to this graphic that seemed alive. In fact, walking in front of the shop windows, people constantly changed their point of view and therefore the angle of refraction. This made the static graphics alive. Again to capture the attention of passers-by, it was decided to decorate the columns and sides of the window (covered with white painted sheets) with another very interesting product: a polyester film, which gradually fades from transparent to mirror effect. This type of material, was created to be applied to glass, but the perfectly smooth surface of the metal allowed to create a beautiful play of reflections.

The entire installation, including other interventions inside, required the work of two installers for half a day.
